Look at those cheeks!! Beyonce is finally letting Baby Blue crawl out from under her paparazzi shielding security blanket, and she is just as cute as she wants to be. You can definitely see Bey in Blue Ivy but at the same time, Jay is in there too! Check out that top lip and mouth area! LOL! Anyway, although I love the kids (especially the celebrity kids), this post is gonna be less about little Miss Blue, and more about the glorious crown of braids that our favorite celeb songstress is wearing. Yes, King Bey has installed her some “Poetic Justice” box braids, as they are more commonly called, and even went the extra mile by coloring them blonde!!! For some people, this may be a little too old-school since the last time we saw these intertwined creations was in the early 90s on Patra and Brandy, but everyone knows that history (especially fashion and hair history) repeats inself. In the past 10 years, we have seen the revival of finger waves, the natural afro, the super short retro 80s bob and now DOOKIE BRAIDS!! And Beyonce isn’t the only one falling all over this new (but yet old) hair trend. Her sister, Solange is all about her long individual plaits and even former video model and The Game actress, Tae Heckard has been donning braids. In all actuality, it’s the perfect summer style. The individuality of the braids allows you to style them at your leisure, and braids in general give your hair that thick and full look. However, you definitely want to make sure that you take care of your hair underneath your braids. Don’t pull your braids to tight, straining your roots and make sure you keep your hair moisturized.
