Big Sean has been going hard for his second album entitled Hall of Fame, which is due out some time this year. His new single “Switch Up” featuring Common is already getting major airplay and has fans early awaiting more new material. Big Sean is working with some of the best Detroit has to offer, like Eminem (who has been in hiding since forever), Royce Da 5’9″ and Kon Artis of D12. Now I love me some Draya but she has apparently upset several of her fans by posting a pic of the late and great Whitney Houston on a shirt from her Fineassgirls clothing line via Instagram on the famous 4/20 date to empower young people to say no to drugs.
After receiving a multitude of angry messages and comments from her followers she took the photo above down and added this one below to redeem and explain herself………
Below is a quote from a recent interview where Draya explains her motivation behind her clothing line. Is she really empowering today’s young woman?
“I just wanted to start something that could motivate girls. It’s like a confidence booster,” stated Draya, who recently heated things up for Urban Ink. “I’m lucky enough to hang around really good people, I have really amazing friends, and they’re also really beautiful and we take a lot of pride in looking how we look. We’re just trying to be all-around good people, so it’s just a movement for empowerment.”
Was Draya genuine and just in using Whitney’s face as a way to get people to say no to drugs or did she go to far in using the iconic Whitney Houston’s picture holding up a sign 20 years prior stating “say no to drugs” who also happen to pass away from the very message she is trying to promote? Was this just for controversy?
Following the NBA All Star Weekend’s big game Lil Wayne hosted “LIV on Sunday” All Star Weekend edition at Stereo Live in Houston, Texas. The event also served as a celebration of Birdman’s birthday. Celebs in attendance included Drake, J. Cole, Meek Mill, Machine Gun Kelly, Victor Cruz, Desean Jackson, and J Cole among others and Wayne had a message for all in attendance:
“If you’re wondering why you didn’t see me at the All Star Game,” Weezy began his rant, “It’s because I was banned from attending all NBA events. The Miami Heat got me banned.” You may remember last week when Lil Wayne was escorted out of a Heat game for cheering for the Lakers. Allegedly being kicked out of the game was just the beginning and now Lil Wayne is officially blacklisted from the NBA. Ouch! That’s not the worst part though. Before leading the crowd in a “F*** NBA!” chant, Lil Wayne decided to say one last thing, “F*** NBA! F*** Lebron! F*** SheWade! F*** Chris Bosh! And I f***ed Chris Bosh wife!”

As if conquering the rap game and putting Detroit back on the map wasn’t good enough, Big Sean is set to launch his own clothing line called Aura Gold. The fashion and lifestyle brand is set to debut later this week in Las Vegas at the ProjectMVMNT convention.
Big Sean said of his new line in a recent press release: “Even though I have a lot to learn about fashion and the industry, I do know what I like and the small details that make something stand out to me. I look forward to evolving the line with more colors, fabrications and offerings to show the other dimensions of my style progression over time.” Vibe will the first to reveal some of the pieces from the new line in its February/March style issue. The line will be comprised of T-shirts, hats, pants, sweatshirts, and jackets. No word of when it will be in stores, but I’m sure when it does arrive it will go fast.

Last night the world tuned into watch the Super Bowl and mostly Beyonce, with Destiny Child group members Kelly and Michelle. Queen Bey slayed the stage as usual giving her fans and critics much to talk about after the super-dome was left with out power. Talk about “shut it down”, Bey did that! But, beyond Beyonce’s perfect performance there is much to be desired from Kelly and Michelle. After the trio hit the stage social media began to blow up with opinions and criticism, mostly directed towards Michelle. While many were praising Kelly, for her good looks and being able to keep up with the Queen, Michelle seemed to be performing a half step behind the other ladies and with a lowered microphone. While celebrities were tweeting their thoughts of the show, one colleague named Keyshia Cole “who does no wrong” seemed to be quite upset with Michelle’s performance. Many Destiny Child stans came for Keyshia calling her “irrelevant” and being able to never perform half time at the Super Bowl. Check out what Keyshia had to say to her Twitter followers below:

Chris Brown was involved in an all-out brawl with Frank Ocean Sunday night, and sources connected with Chris insist Ocean started it.
Chris was at Westlake Studio in the L.A. area listening to one of the artists he represents. The sources say as Chris went to leave, Frank Ocean and his crew blocked Chris from leaving. The sources say Frank said, “This is my studio, this is my parking spot.”
We’re told Chris went to shake Frank’s hand … and that’s when one of Frank’s people attacked Chris. Sources connected with Chris say one of Chris’ friends jumped in front and hit Frank’s friend.
Sources connected with Chris say Frank then came at Chris … Chris pushed him away and they started brawling.
The police were called and are on scene now.
UPDATE: 5:20 AM PT: After the incident, Ocean tweeted “got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest [his dog] was there. cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys.”
Chris Instagramed Monday morning stating “Working on my album. Not working on negativity. Focus on feeding ya family. Bulls— will forever be in the shadows.”
UPDATE 3:00 AM PT: Cops say they will continue to investigate and want to speak with Chris Brown. They refer to Ocean as “the victim” because he’s the one who stuck around and spoke with police. Ocean said the fight started over a parking space (how L.A.) and Brown punched him. There were 6 people involved in the fight.
UPDATE 10:45PM PT: Police have cleared the scene. We’re told Chris Brown was not there when officers arrived — but they did speak to Frank Ocean. At this point … we’re told no one wants to press charges, and no arrests have been made.
