Following the NBA All Star Weekend’s big game Lil Wayne hosted “LIV on Sunday” All Star Weekend edition at Stereo Live in Houston, Texas. The event also served as a celebration of Birdman’s birthday. Celebs in attendance included Drake, J. Cole, Meek Mill, Machine Gun Kelly, Victor Cruz, Desean Jackson, and J Cole among others and Wayne had a message for all in attendance:

“If you’re wondering why you didn’t see me at the All Star Game,” Weezy began his rant, “It’s because I was banned from attending all NBA events. The Miami Heat got me banned.” You may remember last week when Lil Wayne was escorted out of a Heat game for cheering for the Lakers. Allegedly being kicked out of the game was just the beginning and now Lil Wayne is officially blacklisted from the NBA. Ouch! That’s not the worst part though. Before leading the crowd in a “F*** NBA!” chant, Lil Wayne decided to say one last thing, “F*** NBA! F*** Lebron! F*** SheWade! F*** Chris Bosh! And I f***ed Chris Bosh wife!”

DETAILS: Adrienne Bosh Responds To Lil Wayne Via Twitter According to reports, Mrs. Bosh, then Adrienne “short stack” Williams, was a regular in the industry night life and she worked up quite a rep for herself. They say she was a fixture in the VIP sections at a lot of popular Atlanta nightclubs back in the day. Wayne messed with the Cincinnati, Ohio native back when she was still modeling for magazines like Smooth Magazine, but things turned sour when she allegedly scammed Lil Wayne out of a lot of money. VIDEO: Lil Wayne Goes On A Miami Heat Rant According to our source, Adrienne told Lil Wayne she was sick with cancer and needed money for treatment. When Weezy gave her the cash, she vanished. Word got back to Lil Wayne that she hustled him, but he wrote it off and charged it to the game. It’s also believed that Chris Bosh knew about her modeling and night life past before he married her.

Mrs. Bosh responded via Twitter with a few choice words for Wayne and her haters tweeting a picture of Karma stating ‘what goes around comes around’:

Today stand in your truth and ignore the chatter around and about you. #myhighestself #TodayICan #chakrawisdom. Some people create hate for profit, and some people create love for free. Pay no mind to the haters, embrace the love. #TodayICan. #TodayICan ignore those who live in hate for their own ego, and keep my eyes on pure love. They will never bring me down.”

Do you believe Adrienne dated Wayne and would stoop low enough to claim she had cancer as a ploy to con Wayne into more money OR is Wayne just mad? Not sure if this is true, but we all have a past. Chris Brown Vs. Frank Ocean: Another Celebrity Brawl

Reports from TMZ have stated the below:

Chris Brown was involved in an all-out brawl with Frank Ocean Sunday night, and sources connected with Chris insist Ocean started it.

Chris was at Westlake Studio in the L.A. area listening to one of the artists he represents.  The sources say as Chris went to leave, Frank Ocean and his crew blocked Chris from leaving. The sources say Frank said, “This is my studio, this is my parking spot.”

We’re told Chris went to shake Frank’s hand … and that’s when one of Frank’s people attacked Chris.  Sources connected with Chris say one of Chris’ friends jumped in front and hit Frank’s friend.

Sources connected with Chris say Frank then came at Chris … Chris pushed him away and they started brawling.

The police were called and are on scene now.

UPDATE: 5:20 AM PT: After the incident, Ocean tweeted “got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest [his dog] was there. cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys.”

Chris Instagramed Monday morning stating “Working on my album. Not working on negativity. Focus on feeding ya family. Bulls— will forever be in the shadows.”

UPDATE 3:00 AM PT:  Cops say they will continue to investigate and want to speak with Chris Brown.  They refer to Ocean as “the victim” because he’s the one who stuck around and spoke with police.  Ocean said the fight started over a parking space (how L.A.) and Brown punched him.  There were 6 people involved in the fight.

UPDATE 10:45PM PT: Police have cleared the scene. We’re told Chris Brown was not there when officers arrived — but they did speak to Frank Ocean. At this point … we’re told no one wants to press charges, and no arrests have been made.

 

Who do you think actually started the fight? And between Chris’s neverending assault against Rihanna, beef with Drake and love triangle with Karrueche and Rihanna, will his image ever be cleaned up?

Many artist such as Lil B, the XY Movement and (publicly known gay, gangster rapper) Deadlee uses sexual innuendos, personal sexuality and or situations for recognition and attention.

The talented songwriter and singer, Frank Ocean whom first received press in early 2011 after the release of his mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra has been promoting his debut album were he suggests his love for a he and not a she.  

The New Orleans ghost writer, previewed his debut album for the London press recently and more than a few critics caught the bisexual undertones Frank Ocean placed in the songs Bad Religion, Pink Matter and Forrest Gump. Read the below excerpt, a review on This Is Max:

“Frank has also opened up about his sexuality on the album, we think it’s brave and admire him for being so honest and sharing such a personal aspect of his life through his music. On the songs Bad Religion and Pink Matter and Forrest Gump you can hear him sing about being in love and their are quite obvious words used like ‘him’ and not ‘her’.

In the world we live in now we can’t see this being an issue or why it should be?? But we do commend him for not continuing a facade and conforming to what a Hip Hop so called rule book expects, we say live your life and be yourself.”

If the Chris Brown reunion or  the random rapper’s (Meek Millz and Drake) night of fun with your favorite “Badgirl” isn’t enough for Jay-Z, Rihanna’s drug use definitely is!

According to AtlantaBlackStar:

“After dominating the music industry for seven years, the Barbados bombshell could be facing time in rehab. Rihanna has continued to indulge in reckless partying even after her battle with dehydration and exhaustion. Close friends and business partners are seriously worried about her health while Jay-Z threatened to drop her from the Roc Nation label.”

So, is hanging out with Ricky Rozay and Snoop Dogg backstage from time to time, dropping stacks in the strip club, hitting a blunt every now and then and partying with your fling, your ex and his girlfriend every other week okay?

Ann Arbor, Michigan Leads Kiplinger Magazine’s Top 10 Best Cities for Dating List

While most of us here in Michigan revere Ann Arbor merely for the maize and blue, the rest of the world is soon going to love A-duece for it’s contribution to the dating world!!! Some of you may doubtfully be asking what I am referring to.  Well…..it seems that in their 2012 poll of the best dating cities in the country, Kiplinger magazine chose Ann Arbor, Michigan as the #1 Best City for Dating in the United States!!! Please hold back your scoffs and eye rolls of skepticism, readers!!! Ann Arbor has a LOT of great things going for it, outside of just housing U of M! The median household income there is nearly $60,000, and more than 50% of the citizens are single.  In addition to these stats, Kiplinger also reports that “the unusual combination of ultra-high wages, reasonable living costs and a well-educated dating pool — 51% of adults hold at least a bachelor’s degree — earns the popular college town the top spot on our list of best cities for singles.”

“Told You So” Moment: Queen Latifah Says She Did Not Come Out At Long Beach Pride Festival

I love this picture of Queen Latifah….LOL!  It’s like she’s laughing at her haters! HA!! Now, I am by no means calling any members of our #FreeRetroChics audience haters, but I am wishing that I could issue individualized little “I told you so” notes to all those gossip blogs and rumor mags that incorrectly and inadvertently stamped the Queen as gay as soon as she signed on to do the Long Beach Pride Festival last month.  According to the Advocate, a U.S. based national gay and lesbian news magazine, while on stage on May 19, Latifah did reportedly refer to the crowd as “her people” and also asked “Are you feeling all the unity?” causing some to believe that she had indeed come out of the closet. NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly when asked if she had indeed come out at the Pride Festival, Latifah commented:

“That definitely wasn’t the case. I’ve never dealt with the question of my personal life in public. It’s just not gonna happen.”

The Queen also told EW:

“To me, doing a gay pride show is one of the most fun things. My first show that paid more than $10,000 was in a gay club on New Year’s Eve in San Francisco…When people are going through hatred and bullying, the biggest thing to fight that is love… So that’s all I encouraged my audience to do that night: to share their light and share their love. Period.”

Needless to say right after this interview was released, sites such as  www.crushable.com posted stories with headlines like “Queen Latifah Goes Back Into the Closet!”  LOL! Really?? How about she never came out??  Regardless of the Queen’s sexual orientation, I’m glad she took the time to clear this little situation up.  Don’t get me wrong…she definitely didn’t have to, but it’s nice that we got to hear from both sides.

Shouts out to all those readers who didn’t IMMEDIATELY yell “HELL NO!” at the computer screen and are willing to approach this question with an open mind. (Pats you on the back and then, keeps it moving.)  Today’s technology has afforded new age daters and romance-makers with so many unique and diverse  ways of communicating and getting to know each other.  You’ve got Match.Com, EHarmony.com, Chemistry. com….trust me, the list goes on and on.  There are even sites that tailor specifically to a dater’s demographic i.e. ChristianMingle.com, BlackPeopleMeet.com, SeniorPeopleMeet.com.  The possibilities are endless, and with all that going on, everyone should have found their mate by now, right??? WRONG! According to the last United States Census report in 2010, there are nearly  99.6 million single (unmarried) people in the U.S., and what’s worse is that for every 100 single women, there are 88 single men.

Now I’m not giving you these statistics to scare you, but to motivate you.  With the number of singles quickly increasing, we’ve all got to get a little bit more creative with our dating habits.   Some of us may not be able to afford  or even want to pay the costly membership fees that the more elite dating  sites like Match.Com or E-Harmony.com impose  upon us, and that is completely understood.  However, there is no denying the success of internet dating and the number of relationships it has created since it’s start up.  So with that said, why do so many of us continue to turn our noses up when a Facebook friend reaches out to our inbox or when a Twitter follower shoots us a compliment through DM?  So many times, we dismiss a social media admirer as “desperate” or “thirsty” when in actuality, he/she just noticed something or someone they were interested in and acted upon their interest without the rigidity and closemindedness that so many of us traditional daters have become victim to.  Who says dating and courtships have to be limited to F2F hook-ups???

Honestly, I think it’s the stigma that goes along with the newness of  online dating.  Single people think: “Am I so desperate that I have to hide behind a computer to get a date?” or “People are gonna talk about me for meeting somebody online!”  UGH! That kind of logic is the reason why some of us are still single….no, really it is!!!!  There is a recession out here and in addition, a drought on good lasting relationships….LEAVE NO WELL UNTAPPED!!! In other words if you are unwilling to pay the costs of online dating but are willing to try something new as far as your love life goes, why not accept a date request or two from a friend you met through Twitter or Facebook?  Hell, you can even get an date on Instagram if you feel like it!  There have been some great relationships that have come from social media hook-ups….Look at Chad Ochocinco and Evelyn Lozada!!  Ok maybe that’s not everyone’s favorite example, but it’s proof that social media forums are conducive to relationships and in their case, even marriage.  It’s worth a try!

HOWEVER, there is still no denying that although there may be some great potential suitors out there in the world of social networking, there are just as many creepers, lurking behind their computer screens waiting to let their freak flag fly.  To avoid the creepers and also to assist you in deciding whether or not to date a Facebook friend or Twitter follower, I have come up with a few social media dating rules.

Is Kim K. A Step Closer to Beyonce’s Inner Circle?

The reality star of all stars, come up queen, fashionista, Kim Khardashian and girlfriend of Kanye West got her own private luxury box at Beyonce’s performance at Revel Beach Ovation Hall.

Several weeks ago, “sources” of the Queen Bey told the media that Beyonce’ is not a fan of Kim K. and her come up to fame, although she and her husband Jay-Z are very close to her boyfriend Kanye.
One of Bey’s friends said that the singer is very careful about the company she keeps, and Kim just isn’t on her level.“Despite Kanye being one of Jay’s closest friends, Beyoncé wasted no time in banning Kim from being invited into their circle, which is exclusive to say the least,” a friend of Bey’s said. “Beyoncé is used to hanging out with Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow–she’s in a totally different league to Kim.”

Last week another rumor circulated according to Mediatakeout.com, the superstar couple is having the “biggest fight of their marriage” — and it’s all because of Kim Kardashian. An insider said that Beyonce refused to go to Jay-Z’s best friend Ty Ty‘s 40th birthday party in London last week after she found out that Kanye West was taking Kim to the event.  A source said, “Beyonce didn’t want to go when she learned that Kim [Kardashian] would be there. She asked [Jay Z] to uninvite [Kim]. But [Jay] was like, ‘That’s Kanye’s guest, and I can’t uninvite her.’”  The insider said that as a result, Beyonce refused to attend the party. The insider continued, “Jay was upset and hurt. That’s his best friend in the world, TyTy [and his family] vacation with [Jay and Bey] . . . and he’s the godfather to Blue. . . [Jay Z] thought it was disrespectful for [Beyonce] to not attend just because of [Kim].”

If true, maybe Bey decided to have a change of heart because Kim and her best friend, Brittney Gastineau rocked out to the Queen and received a backstage tour. Does this mean that the ban has been released and Beyonce’ has accepted Kanye’s girl for who she is and how she got where she is?
